CurodontTM D’Senz

Professional protection for sensitive teeth

The patented Oligo-Peptide 103 technology in CURODONTTM D’SENZ forms a stable protective barrier on exposed dentine.

Within 2 minutes the open dentin tubules are effectively occluded inhibiting the pain induced by thermal and contact stimuli. It enables the reduction of sensitivity directly before professional dental cleaning.

Mode of Action

Hypersensitivity results from the exposure of dentin tubules due to gum recession, age-related tooth wear, aggressive tooth brushing, etc. This leads to the transmission of thermal and contact stimuli to the nerve endings within the dentinal tubules, which is experienced as a short, sharp pain.
CurodontTM D’Senz is specially formulated to provide fast and lasting protection from sensitivity. The Oligo-Peptide formula in CurodontTM D’Senz forms a stable and lasting layer on exposed dentinal tubules. This mineral-rich, peptide layer creates a barrier against the transmission of external stimuli to the nerve endings, providing effective desensitization.
Gum recession leaves dentinal tubules exposed, which causes sensitivity.

The biomimetic Oligo-Peptide formula creates a protective barrier on the sensitive areas of teeth, providing a fast and long-lasting effect.

Scientific & Clinical Evidence

  1. CurodontTM D’Senz achieves almost complete dentinal tubule coverage and demonstrates greater reduction in the number and diameter of open tubules compared to the other desensitizing toothpastes.1

  1. CurodontTM D’Senz enables fast and easy recovery from sensitive teeth helping to effectively reduce pain. It demonstrated recovery from sensitivity faster than the use of a popular anti-sensitivity toothpaste with 80% of patients reporting relief after 7 days. Even after discontinuation, the relief from sensitivity lasted until day 90 in 70% of patients.2

How to Apply

CurodontTM D’Senz is easy-to use and can be applied both in the dental office and by patients at home.
IN THE DENTAL OFFICE
CurodontTM D’Senz can be applied on sensitive teeth before beginning any dental procedure, such as a professional dental cleaning, to make the treatment more comfortable. It can also be used after dental procedures that could result in sensitivity, for example, periodontal therapy, bleaching, etc.
  1. Apply CurodontTM D’Senz using a rubber polisher, a microbrush, or with a gloved finger
  2. After 1-2 minutes, ask the patient to spit out the remnants. Rinsing immediately after application is not advised
AT HOME
CurodontTM D’Senz can be used once or several times a day every day until the desired effect is achieved.
  1. Take a small amount on a clean finger and spread on the sensitive tooth/teeth
  2. Wait for 1-2 minutes, and spit out the remnants, if needed. Do not rinse immediately after application

FAQ

CurodontTM D’Senz is an oral care gel that is based on the clinically tested, globally patented, award-winning ‘Oligo-Peptide 103‘ technology (formerly, ‘X’ technology) and provides comfort from hypersensitivity by creating a stable and effective barrier on exposed dentin.
Dentin, a living tissue within the tooth, is normally nestled under the outer layers of enamel and cementum. It is made up of microscopic tubules filled with a fluid. The dentin may get exposed in various conditions, such as wear of teeth, gum inflammation and recession, etc. When the dentinal tubules are exposed to the oral environment, external stimuli, such as heat, cold, sweet/sour tastes, or touch, may disturb the dentinal fluid. This disturbance is manifested as a sharp pain in the tooth and is known as hypersensitivity.
The CurodontTM D’Senz gel comprises a biomimetic matrix made of ‘intelligent’ peptides, which has very high affinity to hydroxyapatite. On application, it quickly forms a highly effective, stable, protective barrier on the tooth surface. Exposed dentinal tubules are effectively occluded and thus protected from enhanced conduction of stimuli induced by contact, heat, or cold.
CurodontTM D’Senz may be used for the reduction of hypersensitivity before dental treatments, such as professional tooth cleaning or bleaching, to make it more comfortable for the patient. It can again be used at the end of each treatment to lessen hypersensitivity.

CurodontTM D’Senz can additionally be distributed to patients suffering from hypersensitivity for use at home once or several times a day until the desired comfort from sensitivity is achieved.
CurodontTM D’Senz is easy to use and does not require sophisticated devices/procedures. In the dental clinic, the dentist can apply it all over the patient’s sensitive tooth surfaces using a rubber polisher or a micro-brush. When using at home, patients can deposit the gel on the specific tooth/tooth surface with the tube directly or with a finger. The gel can then be spread over the tooth, as and if needed, with their finger or using the tongue. The gel should be allowed to stay on the tooth for 1-2 min and then the patient can spit out the remnants, if needed. The patient should be asked to not rinse immediately after CurodontTM D’Senz application.
Yes, eating and drinking is possible right after completion of the treatment.
The formulation used for CurodontTM D’Senz is characterized by excellent tolerance. Nonetheless, the gel (just like toothpaste) should not be swallowed. No safety risks are known.
The composition of CurodontTM D’Senz has been optimized for the reduction of the pain of hypersensitivity.
CurodontTM D’Senz works fast and does not require high compliance to effectively reduce the pain of hypersensitivity (compared to the consistent long-term use required of anti-hypersensitivity toothpastes). It can be used several times a day for a few days until the desired relief is achieved. In the dental clinic, it makes dental hygiene treatments more comfortable for both the patient and the dental professional.
